At the meeting of the Board on problems of special economic zones and special mode of investment activity in Donetsk Region which took place in 3.12.99 5 investment projects were examined.

Joint-stock company of closed type "AVK" concern presented the investment project "Organization of confectionery production". The project envisages the attraction of investments of 15,4M USD. Investment Fund "Western NIS Enterprise Fund" (USA), "AVK" Concern, "Pchela ltd", "Mart" ltd will be investors. The payback period is 3 years and 1 months. The project is to provide 700 jobs.

Public Joint Stock State Holding Company "Krasnolimanskaya" presented the project "Development and Mining of no.9 and no.5 North longwall faces of 1' inclination of K5 seam" which will be realized using its of own capital. The cost of the Project is 6.847 mn USD. As a result of the project realizing the enterprise is planning to create 430 jobs.

PJSC "Almaznaya Mine" is intended to realize the project "Mining of no.5 North longwall face of L3 seam of 550m level based on the new generation machinery". Investments in the form of the commodity credit in the sum of 3.6858M USD in sum from JSC "ARS", "Embrol Ukraine" ltd will be directed to open a new longwall face, the output being 2 thousand tons per day According to this project the provision of 182 jobs is planned.

"Sarepta" ltd presented the project "Organization of plaster production" Firms "Viskoplast" (Poland), "Lins Trading ltd" (Great Britain) will become investors of the project. They intend to put in this project 1,0 mn USD. The project realizing will create 31 jobs and to start up the unique enterprise of plaster production in Ukraine.

"Unilever Foods Ukraine" inteds to realize the investment project "Modernization and operation of MARG-WEST plant of margarine and mayonnaise production". According to the project the holland company "MARGA B.W." wants to invest in this project realization 36.35M USD. The project will provide 147 jobs.

All above-mentioned projects were approved by the Board of special economic zones and special mode of investment activity in Donetsk Region.
