19.10. - 20.10 the representatives of the Donetsk region as the members of Ukrainian delegation took part in the international forum "Ukraine and European Union: to 21 century together" which was held in Paris. The Forum took place in the Ministry of Economic of France and gathered the representatives of business circles.

The Prime-Minister of Ukraine, V.Ushchenko, made a report devoted to the course of reforms in Ukraine. The matters of function of transport network, fuel and energy complex, state investment policy, privatization have been touched by the representatives of the corresponding ministries and administrations.

V.Pismak, a Chairman of Board of SEZ, made a speech about the results of work performed by SEZ of the Donetsk region and about the prospects of their development. In the course of Forum the representatives of business and financial circles of France showed much interest in the information provided by Ukrainian delegation. As the result of the Donetsk representatives' work, there have been conducted negotiations with the firm "Lafarge" about the creation of a joint venture in the Donetsk region.
