The representatives of more than 120 enterprises and organisations of the Donetsk region, Kiev, Simferopol, Lugansk and of 20 Hungarian companies, have participated in a business - forum " Ukraine - Hungary 2000 ". The meeting was organised by Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry (supported by regional state administration) and Hungarian agency for development of the investments and trade.

Hungary, as well as Ukraine, today falls into the category of countries with an economy in a transitional period. Thus, as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Hungarian Republic in Ukraine Yanosh Kishfalvi has noticed that the potential for fruitful co-operation, which both states have, was not utilised completely.

As one of expedient conditions for mutually advantageous activity in the market of Donbass, according to the vice-president of regional state administration A.P. Kluev, it is possible to consider a special mode of investment activities, which are operating in the Donetsk region. A.P. Kluev has acquainted the Hungarian visitors with investment attractiveness of the local market, features of activity in the special economic zones and territories of priority development of the Donetsk region.

A brief resume about results of activity of the Board for Special Economic Zones and Special Mode of Investment Activity in the Donetsk region was shown also to potential foreign partners.

During the business forum 120 business negotiations between the Ukrainian and Hungarian parties were conducted. The outlook of bilateral co-operation on problems of agriculture, engineering, deliveries of petroleum etc. was discussed.
