On 4th May the building of the first enterprise in the territory of the Special Economic Zone "Donetsk" began in Donetsk. The investment project of the Donetsk Closed Joint-Stock Company "Nord" (the largest manufacturer of household refrigerating appliances in Ukraine) foresees the creation of production of domestic electric appliances. The sum of the investment is 7 million USD. As a result of the implementation of the project 260 new jobs will be created. It is supposed, that the first production line of the manufacturing complex will be put into operation in one year.

In opinion of the management of "Nord" and representatives of the local authorities the building of a new enterprise solely at the expense of the internal investments in present economic conditions became possible only due to the Law of Ukraine " About the Special Economic Zones and Special Mode of Investment Activity in the Donetsk region ".
